Slowletter routes your letter to one eligible person at a time. It considers profile languages, interests, intents, activity, and discovery preferences. You do not select a recipient from a directory, and shared interests are a matching signal rather than a guarantee.

Do I have to exchange several letters before I can chat?

No. When the recipient accepts your introductory letter, a connection and private chat open. They can also pass. There is no required number of letters to exchange before chatting.

Will every letter get a reply?

A reply is up to the recipient. If nobody is eligible yet, your letter can wait for a match. An unanswered offer can move on to another eligible person, but letters have a limited lifetime and delivery does not guarantee acceptance or a reply.

Is Slowletter free, and how many letters can I send?

Slowletter is free to join. Each new introductory letter uses one credit. The default setup gives new accounts 20 letter credits and two reward clouds, each worth one credit and ready again two hours after you collect it. Rewards need to be collected; they do not accumulate automatically while you are away. Check your wallet and cloud timers for the current balance and reward timing. Private chat messages do not use letter credits.

What should I share with a new connection?
